Meet an Author Night
Local Author Night begins Thursday, November 8th at 6pm!

November 8th:

Luisa Kay Reyes: She will be reading her essay that's included in the "I Am Strength!" Anthology that was released in August.  It debuted as number one on feminist theory on Amazon.  And it has a good message of empowerment for women.  She will also have some of my other publications there.

Luisa Kay Reyes has had pieces featured in "The Raven Chronicles", "Fire In Machines", "The Windmill", "Halcyon Days", "Fellowship of the King", "Enchanted Conversation: A Fairy Tale Magazine", the "Route - 7 - Review", "The Foliate Oak", "The Eastern Iowa Review",  and other literary magazines.  Her piece, "Thank You", is the winner of the April 2017 memoir contest of "The Dead Mule School Of Southern Literature".  And her Christmas poem was a first place winner in the 16th Annual Stark County District Library Poetry Contest. Additionally, her essay "My Border Crossing" received a Pushcart Prize nomination from the Port Yonder Press.  And two of her essays have been nominated for the "Best of the Net" anthology.

J.Ashley Jensen is the lead pastor at Destiny Christian Church and will be presenting The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of.

Cheri D. Collins will be presenting her book Arise and Call Her Blessed.

Bio: I am a convinced Christian, thanks in part to my mother's example.  This mindset allows me to never abandon hope.  Even in our sometimes chaotic and always unpredictable world, I remain hopeful. I believe the Christian code of conduct is the gold standard.

I am currently retired and enjoy traveling and writing.  I enjoyed my career very much even though I stumbled into it.   After 30 some odd years in nuclear energy, I have a head full of gray hair, but no regrets.

Even though my only baby has four legs, I believe motherhood is the highest calling of all.  I believe ALL honest work is noble, but nothing compares to the intensity and fundamental importance of being a mother.
