Gifts and
Donations
We need your help!
The
Autauga-Prattville Public Library received a $65,000.00 budget cut for
2011 which has resulted in staff cuts and drastic cuts in library
hours. The cut reflects a 25% reduction in funding. You can help in a
variety of ways:
·
Contact your city
councilman or county commissioner and tell them that you would like to
see the library’s funding restored and increased in the 2012 budget.
The elected officials will listen to voters and this is probably the
best way to help our four libraries.
·
Make a monetary donation to
the library.
·
Donate books - particularly
best sellers. We can no longer afford to purchase multiple copies so
the donation of best sellers while they are still “hot” will help the
library get copies out to all branches.
Contact the library
at 334 365-3396 and talk to Jan Earnest, Karen Milton or Barbara Curry
or email us at jearnest@appl.info.
Gifts
and Memorials
A memorial or honorarium
gift enriches the lives of all who use the library and is a lasting and
thoughtful way to honor an individual. Gifts of money or resources can
honor someone on their birthday, anniversary or holiday and also be a
lasting memorial for a special person. Gifts are promptly acknowledged
to the individual or family members and a book plate is placed in the
book. Call the library at 334 365-3396 for more information.
All gifts are tax
deductible!
